This page contains a short description of my family relations and what I mainly do in my spare time.

Family

I am half half Danish and half Faroese and have tight connections to both Faroese and Danish culture. My mentality is what I consider as arc typical Scandinavian.

My mother is from the Faroe Islands and was raised in Thorshavn. My father is Danish, raised in Helsingør, currently my father lives in Denmark. I have an older brother who is living at the Faroe Islands. Me myself live in Iceland.

Hobbies

My two main hobbies are respectively triathlon and music.

Triathlon

I have been running since 1993. Ever since I started my performance has been at an acceptable level. I peaked in the autumn of 1999 where I completed a marathon in an acceptable time, the marathon was mainly important as a personal achievement. At present time I am focusing on the 10 km distance as this is the distance one has to run when doing an olympic distance triathlon.

Bikecycling is the most reason addition to my training program. The distance that one has to go through is 40 km and it is this part of the triathlon that I think will cause me most troubles.

When it comes to swimming I started to train regulary 2004 when I moved to Iceland. At Iceland there is fabulous conditions for swimmers as there is loads of public outdoor pools. These are all heated making it possible to swim even when a snowstorm is houling! The distance that I train for competing in is 1.5 km.

I have had good experiences with the following gear:

When it comes to buying running gear I would strongly recommend Løberen (a Danish shop) as they are both professional and polite.

Music

My interest in music is the lazy way as I do not play any instrument, what I consider as bad. I ones tried to learn to play the trumpet but I could not keep the engagement when it sounded as an elephant with a serious cold.

Instead I now have a great pleasure in listen to all sorts of music. I am a little geekkish when it comes to sound equipment. My stereo consist of a pre-, power supply and a CD deck (PreNB2, PowerNB2 and an upgraded Xara) manufacturedby the Danish High End firm Holfi. All the stuff is battery powered in order to have a steady supply of power. Everything weas bought second hand but, even though, it is still as it was when it was shipped from the factory.

Currently I am mainly using my portable devices where I had to pick products from outside Denmark. I use German produced headphones, Sennheiser HD650. The headphone gets the juice from the portable headphone amplifier Total Bit Head from the enthusiastic American brand HeadRoom. An iPod serves as jukie wokie box.
